Hate Your Boney Shoulders? Try These Exercises to Get Rid of Them

Do you hate your boney shoulders? Frightened to take your top off at the beach or at the pool? Sick and tired of the way that shirts just seem to “hang” off your shoulders?

Boney shoulders can be an extremely frustrating thing to deal with. I remember that no matter how many shirts and t-shirts I tried, I just couldn’t seem to find one that wouldn’t show up those pointy bits where my arm joins my shoulder.

Getting rid of boney shoulders is simply a case of building muscle to cover them. If you look at most people who are considered to have a great body, you may notice that their “boney shoulders” are still somewhat visible…it’s just that the muscle does a great job of covering them up.

The shoulders are actually made up of a group of 3 muscles known collectively as the deltoids (or “delts” in gym-lingo). In order to see great muscular development and cover your boney shoulders you should look to incorporate exercises that cover and emphasise all 3 muscles.

Here are some great weight training exercises that you can perform to cover your boney shoulders.

Front Deltoids – Seated Barbell Shoulder Press (also known as the Military Press)

Seated with your back supported upright by the bench, and your hands a little more than shoulder-width apart, lift the bar off the rack and above your head, and then lower it in front of you to the point where it is just above the line of your shoulders.

Then explode the bar back up above your head. Ideally get someone to spot you so that you can put maximum effort into the exercise.

Repeat and perform 3 sets of 8-12 reps.

Middle Deltoids – Dumbbell Lateral Flyes

Stand with your arms by your sides and a dumbbell in each hand; elbows slightly bent and palms facing inwards.

Lift both dumbbells at the same time imagining that your are trying to touch your elbows to the ceiling. At the top of the exercise your elbows should be parallel to the floor…hold this position for a second, then lower to the start position.

Take care to keep a tight back and focus your effort on your shoulders. Don’t cheat by bending your back or using momentum to lift the weights. Also, by “squeezing” (tensing your muscles) at the top of the exercise you’ll get greater benefits from this exercise and begin to cover those boney shoulders with solid muscle mass.

Perform 3 sets of 8-12 reps.

Rear Deltoids – Bent Over Cable Deltoid Raises

Stand next to a cable pulley machine at the gym with feet a little less than shoulder-width apart, and reach across your body to grab one of the lower cable handles. Bent at your waist so that your back is almost parallel with the floor and place your other hand on your hip for support.

Now, keeping a slight bend in your elbow, pull on the cable so that the back of your hand moves in the direction of the ceiling. Your arm should stay locked and arc through this motion. Likewise the rest of your body should stay still, with total focus on your rear shoulder muscles.

Lower the pulley back to the start position and repeat. Make sure that you don’t curl your back at any point during the exercise as this could cause injury.

Perform 3 sets of 8-12 reps.

Himalayan Pink Salt for Weight Loss

Himalayan pink salt has numerous attributed health properties which deem it rather preferable for use in our daily life. It is scientifically proven to contain more than 80 mineral salts that provide nutrients to the body and mind of the user.

Among the more important health benefits of the pink salt, weight loss is considered a crucial one. Details are discussed below:

Weight Loss using Himalayan Salt

The majority of our population suffers from obesity and unhealthy diet which leads to accumulation of fat on our stomach and thighs. This is the first sign of an unhealthy lifestyle and if this is not controlled in due time, it will takes its toll in the latter part of life.

A natural way to aid weight loss without the fear of side effects is the Himalayan pink salt. According to a few reports, people have reduced weight when they switched to the natural pink salt for their diet instead of the white table salt. Pink salt can be used just like the white salt: in flavoring, marinating, seasoning, preserving, etc. Another very popular method of using pink salt to promote weight loss is using Himalayan salt sole.

What is salt sole?

Himalayan salt appears reddish pink because of the addition of the mineral salts in it. The essence of the salt is in the salt sole.

To make this sole, put a handful of pink salt granules in a big jug of water overnight. Let is dissolve by itself. You can start using the salt sole from the next day, teaspoon by teaspoon. The salt sole will last until the salt dissolves completely.

How does the Himalayan salt effects weight loss?

Salt content in the body causes retention of water inside the cells of the body through the known phenomenon of osmosis. The excess of water causes body to look swelled and fat; it often is also the cause of cellulite too. The Himalayan salt crystals unlike the common table salt release this extra water from the cells. It also decreases the craving by the body for food high in sugar content and carbohydrates.

How to use Himalayan salt for weight loss:

  • For a natural way to intake mineral salts required for the growth and sustenance of the human body, use a teaspoon of concentrated Himalayan salt sole in a cup full of water and drink it on an empty stomach every morning.
  • Use a Himalayan salt massage stone from time to time. It aids in removing accumulation of dead cells from the surface of the skin which removes toxins and other impurities with it. The massage technique also regulate the circulation of blood flow and health hormones inside the body which cause reduction in puffiness, calms down the nervous system, enhances metabolism and improves digestive system.
  • It is also recommended that you use Himalayan bath salt twice a week to relieve symptoms of body sores and muscle pains.
  • To target a particular area of the body for reduction of fat buildup, like stomach, thighs, hips, etc. we recommend ‘salt sole compress wraps’. Elastic bandages are soaked in a 5% solution of salt sole. (Make sure the water is lukewarm.) Wring the extra water out of it. Apply the bandage on the targeted area and let it sit there for an hour or so.
  • Lastly, exercise and a healthy diet are mandatory to assist the use of Himalayan salt towards the goal of weight loss.

Other benefits of using Himalayan salt

Himalayan salt is not only beneficial for weight loss but for following health benefits:

  • Improves circulation in the body
  • Regulates blood pressure
  • Cures kidney problems
  • Balances pH levels inside the body
  • Reduces risk of heart attack
  • Decrease symptoms of asthma, sinus infections, and mucus buildup
  • Provides necessary minerals and nutrients to the body

Pygmy Goat Personality Profiles

Like most pygmy goat owners (or so I imagine, I hope I’m not the only person who does what I’m about to describe) I spend a few hours every week relaxing outside with our four pygmy goats (Charlie, Ella, Jack and Sally), scratching their backs when they’re too lazy to bite at the irritant themselves, and quietly observing their bucolic existence.

I wonder what their pygmy brains are thinking as they wander around the pasture and walk along the pond. They seem quite intelligent, but so economical in their emotional expression that it’s hard to draw clear conclusions.

I’ve paid some attention to four areas of pygmy behavior: language, battling, affection, and differentiation. These are not scientific analyses by any means, they are simply observations. Eventually, if generalized theories of pygmy behavior can be developed, it might be worthwhile to gather more concrete data in addition to the current set of notes. Nonetheless, as a casual prolegomena to a more rigorous codification of pygmy behaviors this may serve as a useful starting point for additional observation.

Their role in life as prey rather than predators seems to inform much of their behavior. As more than one veterinarian has told me, “A pygmy goat that acts sick is on death’s door because they naturally hide any weakness.” The weakest pygmies are always the one’s that the predators attack first. Or, as Billy Crystal put it, “It’s better to look good than to feel good.”

On Language

So far I’ve found at least five distinct sounds. In general pygmy goats are pretty quiet, they make a little more noise than a cat and a lot less noise than a dog.

First, there is a separation call that they use whenever one goat wanders away from the herd. If two wander away then everyone wanders after and the herd coalesces before a warning call is needed.

Second, there is a recognition call generally associated with positive expectations. If I walk out of the house with a plastic bucket in my hand they know this usually means food and start calling out as they run to their shed. They’ll also make this call if we’re going for a walk, as they love to wander around the property.

Third, is a disapproving, somewhat insistent, call most often heard when their food is a little late. They know I don’t get up on time every morning so it’s muted at breakfast. But if their dinner isn’t on the floor by 6 pm, they start lining up outside the sliding glass doors on the porch and interrupt the evening news with their complaining.

Fourth, there is a little “meep, meep, meep” call they make deep in their throats when they’re readying themselves for battle. Supposedly, to a pygmy, this is deeply threatening and signals the incipient launch of a serious clobbering, but to everyone else it sounds ridiculous.

Fifth, and saddest, there is a very loud, higher pitched, continuous call which either means “I am hurt” or “I think I am hurt.” Mostly we observe the “I think I am hurt” variant at toenail clipping time. Sally, in particular, kicks her legs in all directions and screams like a little baby as soon as the orange clipper is unsheathed. I’m the only one that has ever been hurt by this ritual as she once kicked just as I was turning the clipper, jamming the two razor tips into the palm of my hand. Sally was then able to observe my high pitched, continuous, cursing behavior.

Battling: Dominance Ritual or Good Clean Fun

Pygmy behaviorists associate battling with maintenance of the herd order. I’m sure there is an element of this, but they seem to really enjoy smashing foreheads. There is no obvious competition between Sally and Ella, but they’ll stand on the porch, rear up on their back legs and just bash each other for 10 or 15 minutes; tails wagging the whole time. Their fur stands straight up on their backs, a traditional sign of anger, while they are battling, but it seems to be puffery more than enmity. The battle halts every 30 seconds or so if someone needs to bite an itchy foot or grab a slurp of water.

Social Affection and Herd Bonding

The pygmy’s generous use of social affection to support bonding within the herd is one of the most endearing aspects of their behavior. As many people have noted, you can tell if a pygmy goat really likes you because they will stand on your foot when you approach them–or perhaps the grass is wet–they hate wet grass. They regularly engage in this behavior with each other. They chew on each other’s ears, horns and collars, lay on each other when sunning, and rest their legs on each other’s backs when they’re gnawing at some spot on their paw. There is a lot of touching going on in pygmy land, but asexual in the case of our herd. The boys are all weathered so none of this is prelude to a dream.

Personality Differentiation

We only have four pygmy goats, so this is clearly anecdotal not dispositive, but I believe we can ignore any fear of specious anthropomorphism and conclude that these pygmies have personalities that are wildly differentiated and wildly entertaining.

Clearly Ella dominates the herd as the explorer, new things are her thing. Charlie dominates the herd with size and muscle. He eats first, eats the most, wakes the other’s up when they’re napping and generally acts like an ornery big brother. Given this, he still lets Ella lead when something new is afoot. Jack supports the herd by demurring to the others and just being a sweetheart. Jack is stalwart and undemanding, taking what life brings him. Sally is very independent, wanders off from the herd regularly, picks and chooses when to interact with the humans and exhibits a feisty streak that belies her small size.

One could go on, but clearly there is not one genetic mold stamping out identical neural pathways. These four, at least, exhibit a clear differentiation of personality that argues for a deeper understanding of the notion of will in non-human species.

Further Study

Additional work remains to be done in several areas, but time is money and pygmies are a parsimonious lot who pay little for unscientific monographs. Perhaps if the research dug a little deeper they would reach into their pockets farther.

Their intelligence relative to other pets would be a particularly fruitful area for more analysis. I remain baffled by their unwillingness to respond consistently to simple commands. Like cats, even though they seem to understand certain commands, they seem entirely disinclined to sit, shake or rollover. These commands seem to profoundly bore them; they’re inherently good-natured about it and remain bemused, but resolutely aloof.

Insulating Concrete Forms – ICFs In Tropical Climates

Whereas many people in developing countries can see the benefits of using insulating concrete forms (ICFs) in new construction, the issue comes to the effectiveness of ICFs in tropical climates. Ghana is a tropical country with temperatures ranging from about 21 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius (70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit) and high humidity. There is little difference between the day and night temperatures. ICFs, proven to perform well in seasonal climates, also perform well in tropical climates.

Insulating concrete forms (ICFs) are a stay in place foam block that stacks to form foundation and structural walls. Once rebar is placed, concrete is poured into the cavity creating a 10.16 cm (4 inch) solid concrete wall with 6.35 cm (2.5 inches) of insulation on each side. This creates a building that is sturdy and energy efficient (R-value 22).

The 10.16 cm (4 inch) solid concrete wall forms a thermal mass for the home. It takes a long time for thermal mass to heat up. Concrete makes a good thermal mass material because it is a slow conductor of heat. If shaded from the sun, the concrete in the walls effectively prevent the heat of the climate from entering the interior space of the building. The shade is produce by the 6.35 cm (2.5 inches) of insulation on each side of the concrete wall. Once the home or building is constructed, the ICF block stays in place allowing the expanded polystyrene (EPS) panels to serve as building insulation.

Ghanaian builders normally build homes out of concrete blocks with no insulation. ICF concrete homes would be surrounded in expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation. EPS is used in cold storage facilities, mobile refrigerated containers, and commercial grade coolers. Foods placed inside of coolers stay cool for extended periods of time, especially with the addition of an ice pack. Like the items in the cooler, people in ICF homes and buildings would remain relatively cooler than in conventional built homes and buildings.

Some Ghanaian builders resort to simply applying EPS panels to the walls of concrete block buildings. Whereas this construction method does produce a better building than concrete block alone, it still uses the same labor intensive method of concrete block construction and reduces the benefits of having a solid concrete wall.

ICFs are much lighter than concrete blocks, weighing only 6.5 pounds per ICF block. Because of the weight, it requires less muscle endurance or strength to become valuable laborers. A crew used to building with concrete blocks can make the transition easily to ICF blocks. Each ICF block covers 0.495 square meters (5.33 sq ft) of exterior wall space. Homes are built in half the time as with concrete blocks and a building is produced that is structurally sound. Owners of ICF homes experience cooler, even temperatures in tropical climate areas. If the home owner chooses to install a cooling system, the home owner will experience a reduction in the need to operate it. Because of the resistance to heat transfer found in ICF block construction, ICFs are beneficial in all Ghanaian new construction.

Weight Training After Knee Replacement Surgery

After knee replacement surgery and once you have been cleared by your orthopedic surgeon to resume your physical activities, there will be some changes that will have to be added. Theses adjustments will involve more of the high impact activities such as running, and jumping for instance.

When it comes to resistance or weight training, you should be able to continue as you had previously with some adjustments made to exercises such as heavy squats, or heavy deadlifts. These exercises however can be safely duplicated by using the leg press with lighter weights along with reducing the weight used on the deadlift and using higher repetitions to protect your knee replacement.

Having a knee replaced however does not mean your weight training days are over in fact, there should be a concerted effort on your part to be sure you continue to exercises to keep up not only your strength but, also to increase your muscle mass which in turns helps to burn more calories.

By weight training, you are increasing your bodies metabolism which helps you control your body weight which is important to reduce the amount of force through your knee prosthesis.

Knee replacement surgery will not affect your upper body exercises. The modifications come only with the affected leg or legs. For instance, you should be sure to include exercises for both lower extremities like hamstring curls, seated leg curls and the leg press. Exercises for your hips are important as well such as the abduction and adduction machines that many fitness centers have along with low back exercises.

Hyperextensions are a great exercise for your low back, hamstrings and gluteal muscles all wrapped up in one exercise without adding any stress at all to your knee prosthesis.

Calve raises are also another exercise you want to add to both lower extremities to add size and strength to your lower legs. By strengthening your affected leg or legs, you allow your muscles surrounding the knees to absorb the force of your body weight when walking and not your knees absorbing the full force.

This is done by continuing to weight train after your surgery and building strength throughout your body.

Many knee replacement recipients may keep up their current body weight or add additional weight through lack of physical exercise. The ideal solution after surgery is to start an exercises program that encompasses not only weight training but also a cardiovascular component that will allow you to live your life without physical restrictions.

Boost Your Testosterone Levels Naturally For Optimum Sex Drive

Testosterone is the principal hormone responsible for the development of male reproductive organs like testis and prostate. It enhances the growth of muscle mass and strength, increases borne density and strength and promotes maturity of the sex organs especially the Penis. Low testosterone levels reduce your sex drive and as well causes erection dysfunction and low sperm development. The use of artificial hormones, Drugs or Doctors to increase your testosterone will not only give you a temporal result but it also comes with a lot of side effects like hair loss, Acne, Bloating-water retention and Wild Mood Swings. But using the natural means is the surest way to boost your levels of testosterone for optimum sex drive.

To boost testosterone levels naturally for optimum sex drive requires the use of herbal supplements, natural foods, exercise and avoidance of the use of prescribed medications. These factors when used in adequate proportions will make your testicles to get fuller and heavier, increase your ejaculation volume and erection power and in general promote quality life.

The use of herbal supplements in boosting testosterone level for optimal sex drive is powerful and more result oriented both at the short and long run than the prescribed drugs. It only requires you to ensure that you choose the right herbs, Keep a minimum of seven different herbs for boosting levels of testosterone and take each for one day. This is because when you rely on just one testosterone booster, yes you can feel honey, juiced, motivated even high sex drive, but as you continue using the same herb the effect will continue to depreciate until it works no more. When you take different herbs each day, you keep your body guessing thereby avoiding the chances of your body building up tolerance.

Brief and intense exercises help your body to release testosterone and growth hormone as you surpasses the anaerobic threshold which is the burning sensation you some times feel in your legs during your heavy exercise routines. This article does not recommend endurance exercises for testosterone boosting because it lowers the testosterone levels. To boost your testosterone levels for optimum sex drive you need to perform intense exercises like jumping rope, weight training, squats, stair climbing and sprints three times in a week with maximum of 15 minutes for each of the exercises. Seek to observe when you feel that burning sensation in your legs then push harder for some minutes longer so that you can achieve big surge of anabolic hormones. Again, your training should focus more on your leg muscles because it is the biggest muscle in your body and the more you work on them the more you will be boosting your levels of testosterone.

Another way you can boost your testosterone levels is by eating natural and healthy diets for maximum testosterone production. There are lots of foods out there you must avoid because they cause a lot of harm on your hormone levels. Such foods include: grape and corn syrup, soy products, bleached white flour and excess refined carbohydrates. To maximize your testosterone levels, you need to consume more of the following foods: eggs, watermelon, wild Salmon, Avocados, Raw Oysters, Cruciferous Vegetables, Grass Fed Beef, Chicken and Tuna. Quality animal fats, nuts and unrefined carbohydrates, as these foods will help to increase your testosterone levels.

Low sexual desires in men are as a result of low testosterone levels. Therefore, to experience a high sex drive, you need to increase your testosterone levels. Thinking of using artificial hormones, drugs or doctors will be one of your biggest mistakes because they will not only succeed in giving you a temporary satisfaction and then worsen your situation later but they also come with several side effects, but with the use of natural therapy like the use of herbal supplements, exercise, healthy foods you are sure of boosting your testosterone levels for optimal sex drive.

Enhancing Penis Sensitivity – The Secret Power of Acetyl L Carnitine

Penis sensitivity is a tricky issue, yet most men take it for granted. In fact, even if the penis seems to be performing at it’s usual pace, overly vigorous sexual activity – of both the solo and duet variety – can actually damage the penis and reduce its ability to detect sensory stimulation, which may eventually lead to a down turn in performance level. By focusing on sensory tissue and penile skin care, men can help to reduce the risk of lost penis feeling.

When it comes to caring for this delicate tissue, acetyl L carnitine stands out as one of the most vital components in maintaining function and promoting the enjoyment of sex.

What is Acetyl L Carnitine?

Acetyl L carnitine, known as ALCAR, is often taken in supplement form by body builders. ALCAR is an important amino acid — a building block for proteins. It helps the body produce energy, along with other important medical and health benefits. ALCAR is a key element in the body’s ability to produce fuel for the cells. It helps to slow the body’s aging process and promotes healing from certain ailments. ALCAR also benefits a man’s sexual health and helps maintain – and in some cases improve – the health of the penis nerve tissue.

Benefits of Acetyl L Carnitine

ALCAR is not just useful in terms of powering the penis, it has many other functions in the body including:

  • Mental Health: ALCAR is used for treatment in a variety of mental health issues. It is useful in improving symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, age-related memory loss, depression in later life, cognitive deficits caused by alcoholism, and thinking problems caused by Lyme disease and Down syndrome.
  • Nerve Problems: Individuals suffering with nerve problems caused by diabetes, HIV drugs, and chemotherapy may benefit from ALCAR, as it has been shown to reduce associated pain with such conditions.
  • Blood Sugar and Diabetes: Research has shown that ALCAR can improve and stabilize high blood sugar levels in prediabetics after a short period of time on the supplement. ALCAR may also help the body to use insulin more efficiently, improving the health of diabetic patients.
  • Energy: ALCAR is often used in the body building community. As it has the ability to turn fat into fuel, many seek out ALCAR for the double benefit of decreasing body fat levels and increasing muscle mass simultaneously.
  • Penis Health: ALCAR has many important functions in terms of men’s sexual health. It’s been found to increase sperm motility, making it useful in treating male infertility. ALCAR has also been helpful in reducing plaque buildup and; thereby, reducing the curvature of the penis in men suffering from the painful condition known as Peyronie’s disease. ALCAR has also been found to be neuroprotective against peripheral nerve damage of the penis, which can be caused by aggressive sexual activity and may reduce the overall sensitivity of the penis.

Where to get Acetyl L Carnitine

ALCAR does occur naturally within the body; it can be found in the brain, liver and kidneys. It is also found in certain foods, especially animal based proteins such as beef, chicken, milk, and cheese. In terms of supplements, ALCAR can be found in powders, pills and protein shake form. While dietary supplements do provide a dose of ALCAR, one may not be receiving the full benefits of the supplement, as amino acids may not be fully absorbed through the digestive tract. For men wanting to get the most bang for their buck Рand receive targeted absorption of ALCAR for maximum penis benefits Рa specially formulated penis vitamin formula containing acetyl L carnitine (most professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) is the best way to reap the benefits of the amino acid. Penis creams applied directly to the target area can be more easily absorbed through the skin, ensuring maximum effectiveness. A properly formulated penis cr̬me nourishes and replenishes the skin, increases sensitivity, and helps fight signs of an aging penis, allowing for the most satisfying sexual experience possible.

Bowflex for Baby Boomers

There are hundreds and maybe thousands of physical fitness guru’s all claiming to have the perfect answer, the “magic bullet” for physical fitness and a solution to a healthier body and lifestyle. Well, I’m not going to claim to have the perfect answer! However, I do have a few tips on an easy to use piece of exercise equipment that may be one of the best for all ages and is particularly suitable for those of us who are either baby boomers or a bit more seasoned. It’s the Bowflex…any version but a basic machine such as the Bowflex Sport is a perfect place to start.

So what’s the catch here? Absolutely no catch whatsoever….. just an enthusiasm to share some ideas on perhaps one of the most efficient, versatile and affordable exercise machines available for home use. The Bowflex combines aerobic and strength training with a smooth pulley and power rod resistance system that’s easy set up. You can easily switch resistance with the power rods through a wide range of motions for a complete strength and aerobic workout. Now don’t get me wrong on the expected results. The Bowflex ads show smiling, well muscled young people whom we all would like to look like, no matter what age. Well, now you may just want to get back some muscle tone and some of that past strength and endurance you once had. At any rate, here we are at 55, 60, 65 or older and card carrying members of AARP. Most of us simply want to maintain or improve our strength, muscle tone and respiratory efficiency. Today many doctors and physical fitness experts are espousing weight training and especially the use of free weights as we age. Everyone now acknowledges that maintaining and / or building our strength is critical in later years. We will certainly function with greater confidence and renewed strength but we will also be less likely to fall and if we do, less likely to suffer fractures since strength training adds to our bone mass. What we don’t hear talked about too frequently is the potential of injury with free weights if not properly supervised. Added to the injury possibility, there is also the need for other pieces of equipment such as various benches and supports in order to get a full range of activity with free weights.

So, let’s talk about the Bowflex. Perhaps you’ve seen the infomercials and watched as the group of well muscled young men and women gathered around a Bowflex machine and marveled at how easy it works and the quality of the workout it provides. So, how does this apply to you…at 55, 60, 65 years or older?

First, you can safely use the Bowflex without needing a partner. However before staring a program check with your physician to insure that you have no physical ailments that would preclude vigorous exercise. The Bowflex is a home device and since it’s in your home, it’s available at anytime. I must caution you on the hype of “now you can use it anytime of your choosing”. That may be correct, but to be successful you must establish a set time every day for your workout. Once you start slipping or changing times, you run the very real danger of skipping days and then a week or more and then suddenly you have no set program and you’re back to being a couch potato.

The Bowflex machine comes with a very nice manual of exercises and instructions and most will also have an instructional DVD. Let’s walk through some Bowflex 101 in the real world and set some realistic goals and simple to follow instructions:

1.Maintain a set time schedule either daily or every other day. Many prefer early morning exercise routines so that it doesn’t get cancelled out later in the day by unexpected events…..or lost will power. Early workouts also tend to set a positive, go get ’em attitude when those endorphins kick in from good prolonged vigorous exercise. Many experts say that the most effective time for the body to exercise is mid-afternoon and the least effective is at night. Working out late in the evening may also cause some sleep disruption.

2.Review the exercise manual that Bowflex provides but don’t become a slave to the described routines. While the programs were developed by experts, let your own sense of what’s working be your guide.

3.After reviewing the manual, establish your beginning program routine and stick to it for at least two full weeks or longer without deviation. Maintaining a consistent pattern will allow you to assess whether the program you’ve selected is comfortable for you and not too boring. It’s important to make the workout interesting as well as challenging. Boredom can lead to you dropping out so don’t let that happen!

4.Design your program to include aerobic as well as strength activities. While the Bowflex will greatly assist in developing strength, the aerobic exercises are terrific and important.

5.Start off with easy resistance power rods. Remember, this is going to be a lifestyle addition and not a quick fix so there is no reason to use too much weight resistance at the beginning. It is best to get comfortable with how the Bowflex operates using lower resistance and then gradually increase the weight / resistance.

6.Don’t feel compelled to “do the manual”. Select the exercises that work well with your strength and flexibility and rotate through them. Make sure, though, that you balance upper body, arms, legs and abdominals in your program.

7.Make sure you take advantage of the aerobic rowing motion. The seat glides easily and the resistance power rods and pulleys are exceptionally smooth in operation.

8.Be Creative! In a short time, you’ll be totally at ease and be able to handle any of the Bowflex routines. When that happens, you’re now ready to mix and match and create new routines on your own.

So, while this is an exercise machine for all ages, the Bowflex from my experience is exceptionally well suited for the great generation of Baby Boomers and beyond. It’s simplicity of set up, easy switching process from one exercise routine to another, wide range of weight resistance and easy fluid motion give this machine an A++ rating in my book!. While this is not an advertisement, you may want to check out the Bowflex website or other websites that offer exercise equipment. At any rate, get started on a healthier life style.

Be active, be healthy and be happy!

Improve Female Ejaculation (Squirting) with Kegels – PC Muscle Exercise For Women

Kegel exercises were originally created to help women strengthen their PC muscles, to help stop urinary incontinence after childbirth, when the PC muscle has been stretched out. The Kegel exercise turns out, has sexual benefits also.

Since female ejaculate originates and emanates from the urethra, the fluid is mixed with a little pee. Men cannot pee and ejaculate at the same time. When a man is about to ejaculate, the opening to the bladder closes, making peeing impossible.

A woman on the other hand, is able to ejaculate and pee at the same time. Frequently that feeling of peeing and oncoming orgasm are confused. Pee before any sexual activity – you want to think about G-gasms and ejaculations, not peeing.

Kegel exercises are a good way to help control the peeing/ejaculating problem. Spend about a month training your muscles. This has the added benefit of greatly increasing the intensity of your orgasms, as the vaginal muscles become very strong with repeated Kegel exercises.

These exercises strengthen a set of muscles known as the pubococcygeus or PC muscles. They are the muscles that both men and women use to stop the flow of urine. They are also the same muscles that contract and expand during orgasm.

Ladies, There are three reasons you should do your Kegel exercises.

First, a strong PC muscle will help you overcome the “have to pee” feeling during the G-gasm Method.

Second, with the PC muscle stretched out, less of the vagina and G-spot area is in direct contact with the penis and therefore receives less stimulation – less fun for you and the man.

Thirdly, a well-toned PC muscle will give you a powerful ejaculation. Keep the PC muscle exercised with Kegels – you will have greater blood flow to this area, and the greater ability to become aroused and feel sexual pleasure.

The great thing about doing Kegel exercises is that no one knows you are doing them, do them while driving, standing in line at the bank, etc. While you can do all sorts of variations, the basic Kegel exercises are:

Contract your PC muscles. Hold initially for a count of five; build up gradually to a count of twenty. Repeat ten times and practice daily. Like with all muscles you are better off building the PC muscle slowly and regularly.

You can also add quick Kegels, contracting and releasing the muscle for ten seconds. Relax for a few moments and then do it again.

Try a “rolling” Kegel with your PC muscle, squeeze only at the entrance to your vagina initially, and then rolling the contraction up the length of your vagina and back down.
