Get Rid of Muffin Top – 3 Simple Steps to Losing Your Muffin Top

Getting rid of your muffin top can be frustrating.

How many times have you found a beautiful pair of jeans that make your legs look ten miles long, only to find that the tight waist band makes your muffin top bulge over the sides?

Or what about when you’ve splurged on some sexy lingerie to entice your man, only to discover that the stringy sides cut into your hips and make you look like a string of sausages?

Unfortunately, a lot of us have experienced these all too familiar problems.

Luckily, to get rid of your muffin top there are only three simple steps you need to take:

• Changing your clothing

• Altering your diet

• Doing targeted exercise

In this article I will be going over these three areas, which are the keys to success with losing your muffin top for good.

Changing Your Clothing

This step really is ridiculously simple!

A lot of people don’t know that wearing tight clothing is the number one cause of muffin top – that’s why even the skinnier women among us can suffer from it!

When buying trousers, underwear, or any item of clothing that rests around your hips, it is important to get into the mindset of finding something that fits your body rather than something that is in fashion, or that your friends are wearing.

This change in mindset can be difficult, as it may mean going up a size or changing your style, but you won’t look back once you start finding that clothes fit you better and make you look amazing – no-one needs to know your size after all.

Altering Your Diet

A lot of weight problems are caused when the body is not getting a properly balanced diet.

People who eat a lot of salty or sugary foods (particularly chemical-laden microwave meals and processed food) cause their body to store fat because it would be harmful for its organs to try and process so much sugar and salt at one time.

The body keeps this fat to use as energy at a later date, but if you keep loading yourself with more of these unhealthy foods, the fat never gets chance to be used and more builds up on top of it.

This is how a vicious cycle of weight gain can start and it directly affects your muffin top and other related problems.

Many of us do not understand that the body works this way, which is why we will eat sugary treats and white bread, but once we have this knowledge we can put it to good use!

This means cutting out those salty, sugary processed foods and replacing them with wholesome, natural foods like fruit, vegetables, sweet potatoes and even butter!

Doing Targeted Exercise

We all know that exercise is important for us to stay healthy, so if you are trying to get rid of your muffin top, exercise can play an important role.

There are many exercises you can do to tone up your hips and waist, but my personal favourite is hula hooping!

Hula hoops are cheap and lots of fun, which makes it easy for me to stay motivated to use one – it doesn’t even seem like exercise to me!

All you need to do is stand inside the hoop and hold it so that one edge is resting against the back of your waist, then spin it with your hands and use a swivelling motion in your hips to try and keep the hoop rotating around your waist. Once it drops, spin it in the other direction and keep going until you’ve done around 20 minutes of hula.

The bright colours are great for getting kids involved. I like to encourage hula competitions to see who can go the longest, as it helps me get the best workout and it appeals to my two’s competitive natures.

Alongside targeted exercise I would suggest trying to do about half an hour of general exercise each day.

Try not to let this daunt you though, I’m not talking about half an hour of working out, it could just be going for a stroll somewhere or doing some hoovering.

Don’t Know What to Wear for Your Zumba Workout?

Zumba is like any other form of exercise. Okay, it is way more fun and happening, but an exercise nonetheless. As for any other workout sessions, clothing is just as important as carrying a bottle of water. Getting the clothing for a Zumba session is half the battle won. Having said that let us now do a beto shuffle through the Zumba must have’s for a comfortable, sweat-extracting workout, shall we?

As is the norm, one must begin from the bottom and then make their way to the top. Investing on the right shoe can make your Zumba session smooth and safe. Take the classic case of the Zumba-Kickz Original Shoes for example. These imported shoes come in synthetic patent leather that adds that extra groove to your move. What’s more is, at 6.3 ounces you can actually forget that they are actually there as an addition to your feet.

Hey there! Not that you have got your feet on the floor, get ready to move it like a maniac. What, oh wait! What happened? Is your T-shirt too judgmental to accommodate your Zumba moves? Don’t you get worried, girl? Just wake up from your nightmares and get ready with the Zumba Suave Sweatshirt. And whoever said that you can’t look absolutely stunning during a workout, oh boy! Could he be more wrong? Club it with the Zumba Bra Tank for a layer of additional flair and relieve.

OK so now that you are almost Zumba ready, let’s do the last-minute cross-check, what do you say? Water Bottle? Check. Towel and Headband? Check. Shoes? In the bag already. Tee? Could I be hotter? And last but not the least the track pants. Wait, what? No silly, not the ones you wear every morning on your jogging escapade, the Zumba Germany Track Pants were specially designed with one mission in vision; to put extra ease on a lease.

The key to a great workout session is to look good, feel good and sweat without having to sweat it out. So, off you go girl. Do have a great session with additional ease, access, style and comfort, and yes no need to thank us, you know.

This Zumba session, look your sprightliest what with all the Zumba must have’s that we have listed down exclusively for you. Take the boredom out of workout schedule and stash it down the highest window of a multi-storey building, even as you sweat out excruciatingly. The idea is to shake a leg and make heads turn while you are at it.

Hair Loss in Squirrels

Squirrels lose hair for a variety of reasons. Many people assume that when they see a squirrel missing patches of hair, that it has contracted Mange. Mange in squirrels is caused by a tiny mite called Notoedres douglasi. They’re similar to mites that cause scabies in humans in that they cause intense itching, but there’s no report of squirrel mange ever being transmitted to humans! Healthy squirrels can usually recover from an infestation of mange, but it can take a considerable amount of time, and a lack of hair covering can leave squirrels at the mercy of the weather especially in winter!

Another cause of hair loss in Squirrels is a fungal infection called dermatophytoses. The squirrel doesn’t actually lose its hair, it’s just that the fungus causes it to break off at the skin. Most fungus like warm, moist environment to grow, therefore dermatophytoses is seen in warm moist climates, and during unusually wet periods. A squirrel can recover from this fungal hair loss as long as it’s immune system is in good shape. A sick or immune compromised Squirrel may not be so lucky!

Dietary insufficiency, or poor diet, is another cause of hair loss in Squirrels. A severe lack of Calcium will cause poor hair growth and/or cause the hair to fall out. This is especially true in Squirrels that are kept in captivity! Special attention need to be paid to the diet as well as daily exposure to natural light or sunlight.

Following closely on poor diet is the condition called Metabolic Bone Disease. Hair loss and loss of Calcium from bones are the characteristics of severe Calcium deficiency. Squirrels rapidly develop a condition called Rickets, and will lose the use of their rear legs. This causes them to shuffle when they try to walk and their bones become quite brittle and prone to breakage. Left untreated, Metabolic bone disease will advance to permanent nerve and bone damage and heart failure. Poor diet and metabolic bone disease is treatable as long as it is caught in the early stages. Foods rich in Calcium and Calcium supplementation are a must in all captive Squirrels!

The last potential cause of hair loss, especially in Gray or Fox Squirrels, is a hereditary defect. There are some Squirrels born missing the hair growing chromosome, just as there are some born missing the pigmentation chromosome, (Albino Squirrels,) These hairless Squirrels never develop hair. It’s rare for them to survive in the colder climates, and difficult at best to survive even in warm climates due to the fact that they are not recognized by their kind and are often rejected and even attacked or killed.

All dietary causes of hair loss in Squirrels are very easily treated through feeding a proper diet and insuring that there is sufficient quantities of Calcium and essential vitamins in their diet. Through working with Squirrels and researching natural products, I’ve been able to improve on some tried and true recipes for squirrel food supplements. One major improvement that I found was the addition of Organic Raw Coconut Oil.

Unprocessed Coconut Oil is rich in a substance called Lauric Acid which is a natural anti bacterial, anti fungal and anti viral substance. You can read about the effect of this amazing substance on Candida Albicans, a common yeast type organism at: http://www.candida-albicans-cure.com/coconut-oil.html #R2. Since I’ve added Raw Coconut Oil to my Squirrel Supplements, my Squirrels have grown out hair that feels as soft as mink!

Hair loss in Squirrels can be a problem! But, I’ve found that improving the diet of affected Squirrels, and adding the right natural products to what they eat, goes a long way toward solving most of the problems!

Wholesale Glyconutrients That Changed My Family Forever

How could this be happening? Our dog (Storm) just received her one year checkup in June and was given a clean bill of health. In shock by the news, we refused to put Storm down and defied the recommendation of our vet oncologist.

What followed could only be described as a long exhaustive internet and phone search for cancer alternatives for dogs. After 100 hours of research in two weeks, we stumbled across a homeopathic vet in our area. What we learned was shocking.

Dogs like humans – even puppies who are barely adult dogs are exposed to triggers every single day that can kick off a serious of unfortunate health events. These triggers can come from the air we breath, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the vaccinations we take to stay healthy – yes even vaccinations can be a trigger to cancer.

Listening with abated breath, we continued to learn from our homeopathic vet that traditional doctors treat most auto immune diseases (like cancer) at the symptom level; but they never address the underlying question which is why did we get sick in the first place?

When your body is out of balance, your body fails to do what it was designed to do – which is heal itself. When your cells stop talking to each other efficiently they become corrupt. These corrupt cells can lead to illnesses and in the case of our Storm – Lymphosarcoma.

It was recommended that we put Storm on a glyconutrient supplementation program coupled with a raw diet high in protein and low in carbs. We started her on a leading brand of glyco supplements. These supplements contained the eight simple sugars that provide your body the building blocks it needs to enhance cell to cell communication.

Within two weeks of this program, the tumor that Storm had was 90% gone. This was a tumor that was twice the size of her heart on the ultrasound just two weeks before. At the end of the first month, Storm was diagnosed as being in remission.

Don’t get me wrong. Cancer is a smart nasty disease that mutates and has one purpose – survival. Is there a cure for cancer – probably not? Is there a better way to treat cancer – absolutely? Are glyconutrients part of that better treatment – my opinion is YES?

Holly and I have seen first hand what these Glyconutrients can do. We both take them; and our dogs both take them. Did we know about glyconutrients before Storm was diagnosed with cancer – NO? Do most doctors know about them – NO? This is because the discovery of glyconutrients is fairly new and has only recently been added to the curriculum at medical schools.

If you are or a loved one are suffering from an auto immune disorder I strong urge you may want to try wholesale glyconutrients.

How to Increase Vascularity and Become a Muscular Freak

Okay, so most people who know you probably already consider you a freak. Be honest though… It’s probably not because of your physique.

Don’t fret. We can help even up the your image from idiosyncratic freak to physique freak with a primer on vascularity. And we’re not just talking a few veins here or there that pop out during stressful workouts. We’re talkin’ walkin’ around with a Triple A map popping out from beneath your skin. Insane vascularity can be yours if you follow our suggestions.

For most people who lift, the thought of getting skin-tearing type pumps and road-map vacularity is appealing. But to get them usually means bloating, cramping, weight gain and overall look that screams “NOT DIALED IN”! Why are pumps so important? Well, pumps are what give you a leg up in the vascularity department. When you’re pumped, your veins stand out like blocked garden hoses ready to explode.

Training for pumps involves a lot of intensity, but it also requires several other factors to achieve it: Diet, Supplements, Water and Electrolyte Balance.

First, let’s talk….

DIET FOR PUMPS

Creatine in steak and other foods, red wine, simple sugars, enough complex carbs along with good protein and fat, all contribute to vacularity. Eating enough is crucial, but getting enough elements such as salt and fat on food is important. You don’t have to eat a cube of butter, you can use capryllic acids, olive oils, fish oils or other fat sources such as flax to do the trick.

Remember, hot food also brings out vascularity. Ever gone to a competition and ordered a steak to go for your room later on. You eat it cold and nothing happens. Guess why? Well, most of the creatine has been killed and you don’t have heat to help push the fats and sodium into the cells.

Bottom line, the body is a magnet for protein, carbs, fat, water and creatine, as well as trace elements such as sodium and potassium to help boost cell volume. Food should be your number one supplement. But speaking of supplements…

There are plenty!

SUPPS FOR PUMPS

CME (Creatine Methyl Ester) / CEE -(Creatine Ethyl Ester)

Due to the precise placement of its methyl or ethyl groups, CM² and CE² both avoid the stomach degradation process that occurs with creatine monohydrate products, so they are resistant to digestive breakdown. Both provide benefits of creatine with only about a quarter of the normal clinical dose. And no bloating or discomfort with either and no known adversity in length of time on. Carnosine levels are also boosted, which buffer the build up of lactic acid.

NITRIC OXIDE

Experience those wicked full body pumps that last all day with NO. Nitric can enhance muscle hardness and vascularity almost automatically. What’s more, it can help push you past training plateaus by forcing your body into an anabolic growth phase, so you can add slabs of new lean mass! Nitric Oxide is designed to support blood flow and circulation, which promotes performance, endurance, recovery, and size, so let’s not just think about vascularity as strictly cosmetic, let’s think about the benefits of having it!

AEX (Arginine Ethyl Ester)

Arginine Ethyl Ester works to increase Nitric Oxide (NO2) production in the body which may induce more explosive, blood engorged muscle pumps and increase blood flow to genital area.

RUTAECARPINE

Rutaecarpine is a powerful phyto-alkaloid that exerts its biological impact on Ca2+ in endothelial cells and smooth muscle cell tissue and produces greater vasodilation and nitric oxide production. IP6 (Inositol Hexaphosphate) is metabolized into inositol triphosphates which is essential to cell signaling and regulation of cellular growth. The net result of this increased activity is a high level of vasodilation and intracellular amino acid synthesis.

TRI CREATINE MALATE

Tri-creatine malate increases muscle size and strength gains. Tri-creatine malate with arginine ethyl esters to enhance cell volume.

METHOCEL

Methocel is a controlled-release technology made by Dow Pharmaceutical. It’s the engine that drives Nitric oxide’s vaso-mascular volumizing action, and allows NO to support 24-hour whole-body vasodilation (opening of blood vessels). With vessels dilated, more blood can flow into your muscles during workouts, posing sessions, stretching and other things you do throughout the day to give your body an opportunity to grow and become more vascular. Remember, blood-filled muscles appear fuller, thicker and shapelier, which helps provide that sought after “pumped” and “vascular” look.

GLYCEROL HYDRATING POLYMERS

Potassium GlycerophosphateMagnesium Glycerophosphate Glycerol Stearate  is a magnet for pumps and vascularity, what with all of the food and water we take in during a given day. Complete muscle hydration and nutrient saturation can occur with glycerol hydrating polymers and act with electrolytes to ensure beefed up cell volume.

ELECTROLYTES

Sodium and potassium based things like Gatorade that have a slight bit of glucose in them, can really carry a lot of volume into the muscle, and increase vascularity. Proper electrolyte balance is crucial to vascularity and can make or break anything mentioned above. Drink water and take electrolytes to avoid cramping and looking flat.

PRODUCTS TO TRY:

Pump Tech by MuscleTech

NO-XPLODE by BSN

Mass Stack by BSN

WATER FOR VASCULARITY

Drinking water is crucial, because cell volume depends upon it. If you don’t take in adequate water, water balance will shift from cells that are engorged (and in pump status) and instead flood the skin, lending an anything-but-vascular look.

POSING FOR VASCULARITY

Gatorade before posing, or any electrolyte preparation, or a big juicy steak and a baked potato, can really help you explode! Balloon-sized pumps are yours during each posing session if you begin by feeding your body the proper food, electrolytes and supplements. But remember, the more you actually physically pose, the more vascularity will be etched into your muscles.

Punching Bags 101 – Useful Facts You Might Not Know

While you can never be a Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, you can still derive many fitness benefits from the sport that has made this boxer a phenomenal hit not only in his country but all over the world as well. Boxing is a great workout because it is not only about punching. In fact, for a boxer to be able to hit a knockout, he has to develop core strength first. Boxing also entails a lot of footwork making it the perfect exercise for lower body strength.

One of the basic equipment that you need to have if you want to punch your way to health is of course, every boxer’s favorite, a punching bag. Weighing as much as 90 pounds, a sand bag can develop your power punches for upper body strength and cardiovascular conditioning. It is also a great workout for those seeking to lose weight. Depending on the intensity of your workout, an hour of constant punching can burn as many as 300 to 400 calories. Putting all your stresses in a punching bag is an effective and harmless way of channeling frustration and anger.

To get the most out of your workout, your punch should emanate from your legs, travel to your core before effectively culminating in your fist for that power punch. In essence, one punch utilizes your entire body. Position yourself for the power punch by first stepping toward the bag when you are about to throw the punch. Change the weight to the other side of your body as your arm moves goes for the blow.

To develop more power to your jabs, make sure that your shoulder directs your fist to the punching bag. Practice hitting the bag with left hooks and uppercuts. Do these vigorously for three minutes at a time without stopping. After the three minutes are up, rest for about a minute before going at it again. This will not only practice your power punches but will help you build stamina and endurance as well.

Incorporate footwork into your jabs. The more you move, the more you are going to burn fats. Strive for five minutes of nonstop moderate-intensity boxing with only a couple of minutes rest for each interval. Do this for twenty minutes and see your fats burn away.

Aside from the physical benefits, boxing for fitness also develops confidence. While you may not dream of using your punches for any functional purpose except for physical fitness, the knowledge alone that you can punch is enough to increase your self-confidence. It’s also a workout that has psychological benefits. It’s not healthy to vent out your annoyance to someone or something. Not only is that counterproductive, it ruins things and relationships in the process. It also harms people. Punching a sand bag is definitely the better alternative. You won’t get into any fights and the footwork and jabs will stimulate the release of endorphins which will give you a better take on things after your session.

If you are a beginner in the sport, check out your nearest gym so you can have an instructor teach you the basics on stance and proper technique. When you have these down pat, then you can punch your way to health. Using a punching bag, that is.

Vitamin B2 Benefits, Deficiency, Sources and Storage

Vitamin B2, also called riboflavin, is a water-soluble B vitamin. Vitamin B2 was first noticed in 1879 as a green pigment found in milk. It is not stored in the human body for any period, and it is therefore important to include a regular dietary source of this vitamin.

Benefits of Vitamin B2:

* Riboflavin plays an important role in certain metabolic reactions of the body, particularly the conversion of carbohydrates (into sugar) and amino acids, which is burned to produce fuel necessary to carry out various activities.

* Vitamin B2 also plays an important role in maintaining muscle tone along the lining of the digestive tract, and promoting the physical condition of the nervous system, skin, hair, eyes, mouth, and liver.

* Riboflavin is an important nutrient in the prevention of headache and some visual disturbances, particularly cataracts.

* It also helps keep mucous membranes (such as those lining the mouth) healthy.

* Needed to process amino acids and fats, activate Vitamin B6 and folic acid,

* Essential for normal tissue respiration.

* B2 is an excellent antioxidant, and works by neutralizing damaging particles in the body (free radicals). These particles, which occur naturally in the body, not only damage cell membranes, but also intermingle with genetic material, and contribute to the development of a number of serious illnesses such as heart disease and cancer. Riboflavin has the potential to neutralize free radicals, and may reduce or even help prevent some of the harm.

* In the treatment of anaemia, adding Vitamin B2 to iron supplements has shown to increase its effectiveness.

Deficiency of Vitamin B2

Unlike other B vitamins, riboflavin is not found in many dietary sources. Riboflavin deficiency is medically termed as pellagra. The most common cause of riboflavin deficiency is dietary insufficiency, which occurs in those who do not consume rich dietary sources of the vitamin.

Symptoms of riboflavin deficiency include:

« fatigue,

« stunted growth,

« sensitivity to light,

« digestive problems,

« cracks around the corners of the mouth,

« eye tiredness

« dull or oily hair, an oily skin, premature wrinkles on the face and arms, and split nails.

« malfunctioning of the adrenal glands.

« soreness of the lips, mouth and tongue.

« the tongue may turn magenta (glossitis),

« seborrheic dermatitis (particularly affecting the scrotum, around the nose and in the area between

the nose and the lips).

« conjunctivitis and watering of eyes

« anaemia

Sources of Vitamin B2

The best dietary sources of riboflavin include yeast, almonds, organ meats such as liver, whole grains, wheat germ, leafy green vegetables, mushroom, oily fish, soyabeans, dairy products such as milk and yogurt, eggs, and spinach.

Flours and breakfast cereals are often fortified with riboflavin.

Extra doses of this vitamin might be required if a person is a regular alcoholic, dependent on antibiotics, birth control pills or doing some strenuous exercise.

If a person is under a lot of stress or on a counted-calorie diet, vitamin B2 is also of importance.

Who is likely to be deficient?

Vitamin B2 deficiency exclusively is not quite common. Deficiency of the vitamin can occur in the elderly subsisting mostly on tea, coffee, bread, biscuits. Riboflavin deficiency also occurs in those with chronic liver disease, chronic alcoholics.

It usually occurs in association with deficiencies of other B vitamins in mostly those people who have a protein and calorie deficiency. Chronic disorders, such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes mellitus increase the risk of Vitamin B2 deficiency.

Also, the deficiency may be more likely in people with cataracts, chronic fatigue syndrome, or sickle cell anaemia.

What is the recommended dosage?

The ideal level of intake is not really known.

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) is about 1.1 milligrams of riboflavin daily for women and men should have 1.7 milligrams daily. The amounts found in many multivitamin supplements (20-25 mg) is sufficient for most people.

Women who are pregnant, require an additional 0.3 mg per day and lactating mothers require an additional 0.5 mg per day.

Absorption of Vitamin B2 is best when it is taken with meals.

Riboflavin in excess does not appear to cause any serious side effect. Possible reactions to very high doses may include itching, numbness, burning or prickling sensations, and sensitivity to light. A normal yellow discolouration of the urine is seen with an increased intake of vitamin B2 – but this is quite normal and harmless.

Storage of Vitamin B2

While riboflavin is not destroyed by heat, it can be lost in water when foods are boiled or soaked. Riboflavin is destroyed by light; therefore, items should be stored away from light to protect their riboflavin content.

If you want to get the maximum B2 vitamin possible from food, refrigerate fresh fruits and veggies and keep milk and grains away from strong light. Vitamins> are easily destroyed and washed out during cooking of food at high temperatures. If taking vitamin B2 supplements, store them at room temperature in a dry place that is free from moisture.

What is the Best No2 Product?

There are a variety of products that make use of MRI’s patented No2 formula. No2 is truly a breakthrough in the supplements industry, having first been released in 2002 and since then winning many enthusiastic reviews from customers who could feel the difference. However, between the many selections offered by MRI (Black and Platinum series) and other companies, including popular selections like BSN NO-Xplode, Universal Animal Stak 2, MuscleTech NaNO Vapor, Iron Tek Pro Vaso and BNS Nitrix, how can you tell which is the best No2 product?

What Does this Mean for You?

What is the best No2 product, according to customers, reviewers and industry insiders? Everyone has a differing opinion. Some insiders like the Nox2 by Pinnacle formula, as it is similar to MRI’s product but for a lesser price. Pinnacle Nox2 uses its own exclusive system called an A-DS Advanced delivery system, to achieve the same effects as regular MRI No2. The product helps to spike absorption of active compounds to regulate uptake and help maintain the hemodilation for hours on end. BSN’s Nitrix has its following, and some say its formula is more scientifically effective than even MRI’s brand. BSN’s formula is called Methocel, and provides Nitrix users with a constant and steady release rate maintains its intensity for about a full day’s time. Syntrax Nitrous is a more amplified product, and operates as a muscle injection system for longer pumps, more energy, and shorter recovery. The product is custom-made with the intent to overcome obstacles that other nitric oxide products have faced.

Nitrous has a neutral taste and is sold as a powder instead of tablets or caplets. This makes the product easy to mix into your favorite drink. If you’re looking for intensity, then MRI’s No2 Black series may be the most intense formula you have will find. No2 Black uses a purer Arginine-AKG called ArginPure; along with pHylex9 technology, alpha-lipoic acid and NOS-enhancing peptide fraction technology (which increases the synthase enzymes for more nitric oxide production). This mean you can gain 950% more nitric oxide for your workout.

The No2 Black is even stronger than the Platinum series and is ideal if you are looking for flash recoveries and stronger endurance. Customers have been enthusiastic about No2 Black, calling it extreme with great potential for vascularity and longer blood surges. Some bodybuilders say the pump sensation can last beyond a day. The No2 Black series actually carries a warning label due to its high potency, warning people with medical conditions to consult a doctor before using.

What about Side Effects?

Are there any side effects to taking No2 supplements? MRI has stated that there are no side effects when No2 is taken in moderation, and as directed with plenty of water. (64 ounces a day is recommended) There have been minor side effects reported upon over-dosing and failure to drink recommended amounts of water.
