Massage Therapist Need To Understand Golgi Tendons & Muscle Spindle Cells

As a massage therapist it is vital to know the various parts of the human body and understand their significance. Two terms that you should know and understand are Golgi tendons and muscle spindle cells. As a massage therapist it is important to know these two sensory neuron proprioceptors and know what they do. The muscle spindle, for instance, is a proprioceptor that relays information regarding changes in the length of muscles. The Golgi tendon is a different type of proprioceptor that relays information regarding muscle tension changes. These two proprioceptors are important for stretching muscles and conditioning muscles. Together they help to protect the muscles from overstretching and becoming injured. First, though, it is important to know what each is and its particular function.

What are Sensory Neurons

Neurons are cells that work to carry messages through the body. The neurons are responsible for telling you to bend your finger or flex your foot. They also make sure that you don’t overstretch your muscle or apply too much tension to a tendon, thus avoiding injury. Every neuron is comprised of a cell body and nerve fibers. It is the nerve fibers that receive impulses from other neurons and then send that information to the cell body. The fibers then send the impulses away from the cell body to other neurons.

The Golgi tendon organs and muscle spindle cells are both sensory neurons called proprioceptors. These sensory neurons are located in nerves and tracts but their cell bodies are found just outside of the spinal cord. They move messages from sensory organs in the tendons and muscles to the spinal cord. Some of these neuron fibers are called proprioceptive fibers. These fibers monitor the way that a muscle contracts and stretches as well as measures the tension that is in a tendon and transmit’s that information to the spinal cord so that the information can be processed. This feedback allows the body to know positions and postures of the limbs even when they cannot be seen.

What are Golgi Tendons

Golgi tendon organs are located in the collagen fibers of the tendon at the point where the tendon fibers merge with the muscle fibers. While they function in a manner that is similar to muscle spindle cells in that they measure muscle changes, they only become activated when there is contraction of the tendon. They also monitor changes in the tension of the muscle that comes from a change of the muscle length. When the tendon or muscle is overstrained, it sends a message to the muscle which causes it to relax. This is important for preventing injury.

What are Muscle Spindle Cells

Muscle spindle cells are located in the muscle fibers, parallel to them. Their function is to monitor and measure muscle length on a continual basis, both when the muscle is at rest and when it is stretched as well as the speed of changes in muscle length. The muscle spindle cell is located inside the muscle while the Golgi is located at the end of the muscle.

How the Golgi Tendon Organs and Muscle Spindle Cells Work Together

The muscle spindle cells [http://www.think-diagonal.com/category/massage-therapy-bodywork/] have a very effective working relationship with the Golgi tendon organs. The muscle spindle monitors the changes in length and the speed of those changes within the muscle. It sends the message to the spine to convey the information to trigger the stretch reflex. This stretch reflex, for which the Golgi tendon organs are a part, tries to stop the change of the length of the muscle. This is a protective feature of the human body that prevents injury. The more the muscle tries to stretch and the faster it tries to stretch, the more the Golgi tendon organs cause it to contract. Over time, the muscles can be trained so that the stretch reflex allows for more and more of a stretch before contracting.

As a massage therapist it is important that you understand how the Golgi tendon organs and muscle spindle cells work together to prevent injury to muscles. As you work and stretch the muscles of your client, you must pay attention to the response of their body. Learn to detect the muscle spindle cell’s span and ability to stretch, but also learn how to detect when the Golgi tendon organs begin to work to prevent injury. Then learn how to work with that push-pull action to help lengthen the muscle and increase the muscle spindle cell’s ability to stretch the muscle until the Golgi tendon organs attempt to stop the stretch. This will help you prevent injury to your client and help them work with sports injuries.

Snowboarding Tips – Essential Strategies For Beginners to Experts

Basic snowboarding tips for beginners really come down to common sense. For example, always wear sun block! And when you have a fall – which inevitably you will! – try not to put your hands out as this can result in serious injuries.

If you want to progress from a beginner to a more advanced snowboarder there is a strategy to follow and it comes down to three headline tips for snowboarding success. I won’t go into tips about snowboarding gear in this article other than to say avoid cotton clothing as it retains moisture (sweat!) and think more about practicality and safety rather than trendy looks.

The essential tips for snowboarding are –

1) Focused Training. You must understand the basic principles and apply them. Don’t try to run before you can walk. Treat each technique, move or trick individually and focus on one at a time.

2) Physical Training. It goes without saying that stamina is required in snowboarding. Some time spent either in the gym or out doing some good old fashioned running or walking will pay you benefits and increase your enjoyment once you get to the slopes. Painful as they may be, you can’t beat squats as a training exercise for snowboarding. If you have weights, hold them as you do 20 reps, rest and repeat. If not, hold a couple of cans of beans or whatever you have in the cupboard!

3) Mental Training. I don’t want to sound too way out there now but the environment you’ll be in as a snowboarder is alien to many beginners and a key tip is to think about that, prepare yourself and visualise it. Visualisation is key to success in most sports now and by spending time imagining yourself cruising down the slopes you will build the inner confidence necessary to keep you going after a few falls and bumps. Picture yourself cool and confident moving gracefully and you’ll build the muscle memory to make it a reality.

Be safe out there on the slopes and follow my tips and you’ll become a snowboarding junkie!

Formadrol Extreme XL Review – What Does This Anti-Estrogen Do For You?

Formadrol Extreme XL from LG Sciences is promoted as an anti-aromatase, anti-estrogen and a testosterone boosting agent. It contains a complex of ingredients that each work in a unique pathway for obtaining the desired outcome. Anti-aromatase agents have been around for many years and they have been shown in human clinical trials to boost testosterone, which is the goal of most men over 18 who are into bodybuilding.

The first ingredients in Formadrol Extreme are called aromatase inhibitors. The enzyme aromatase is responsible for converting testosterone to estrogen. In men, this has a dual function of reducing your natural testosterone and also increasing the female hormone estrogen. Body fat contains a high amount of this enzyme, making chubby men more likely to have high estrogen levels.

3-beta-3-hydroxy-urs-12-ene-28-oic acid and 2-Penyl-benzo{h}chromen-4-one are both plant based aromatase inhibitors. They have slightly different functions since 3-beta-3-hydroxy-urs-12-ene-28-oic acid seems to be a suicide inhibitor based on its structure and 2-Penyl-benzo{h}chromen-4-one is a competitive inhibitor. These stop the enzyme from converting testosterone to estrogen, thus reducing the female hormone estrogen and increasing the male hormone testosterone. This testosterone boosting effect is something that is prized by bodybuilders who wish to increase their male hormones!

Sodium caprylate is a natural fatty acid that has been shown in preliminary studies to make the androgen receptor more sensitive. This ingredient should help the higher testosterone levels work better by giving them more of an effect!

Highly Standardized Ellagic Acid was shown in preliminary studies to be a natural SERM. SERM’s block the effects of estrogen at the receptor, which can also impact the ability to boost testosterone and also reduce the effects of the female hormones.

Ginger extract has been shown in animal studies to boost the testicular ability to make testosterone. This will help increase the ability of the body to produce testosterone resulting from the signaling of the aromatase inhibitors.

Luteolin, Quercetin and Piperine help all of the other ingredients make it through the gut and may help them be more active in the bloodstream.

Formadrol is used to help men above 18 boost their testosterone levels to the highest possible human range. Because of the performance enhancing benefits of high testosterone, anti-aromatase agents are banned by Olympic athletes so anyone in sports should be careful to make sure that there isn’t a ban on aromatase inhibitors.

For anyone looking to boost testosterone to the highest possible human levels and take advantage of the extra performance benefit and sexual benefits of higher testosterone, then Formadrol is a good product.

Formadrol can also be used after a cycle of andro or anabolic steroids to help the testes recover more quickly. This is called PCT or “post cycle therapy”. It is used in the LG Sciences Trifecta Stack for this purpose.

Formadrol Extreme is a very potent mix of testosterone boosting herbs and should be very good for any male over 18 who wishes to reduce estrogen and boost testosterone. It is available online or at numerous retail stores for a reasonable price of $25-35 and should last 30 days.

The Formadrol Extremem side effects are typical of supplements that boost testosterone. They include the potential for increased acne, potential for hair loss and the potential for increased aggression. Formadrol Extreme XL was simply a larger, 90 count sized bottle for one retail customer, but now all bottles of Formadrol are the XL version.

Like every supplement results using Formadrol Extreme XL depend on proper diet and exercise.

Judo Workouts – 6 Judo Circuits That Will Sky Rocket Your Heart Rate

It is very important that the workouts you are completing as part of your fitness and conditioning are catered towards Judo. Judo fights are 5 minutes in length and you need to be fit enough to be able to fight hard for five minutes, have 5 minutes off and then fight again. Therefore your training should be something very similar to this.

Here are 6 circuits designed specifically for Judo. These circuits will dramatically increase your cardiovascular fitness quickly.

Metabolic circuits

Metabolic circuits are designed to simply wreck you metabolically. This simply means we get a particular muscle group and one minute of work on it. When the muscle is on the verge of failure we change to a different part of the body and repeat.

I chose to do 7-10 minute metabolic workouts.

Metabolic circuit 1:

1 minute bodyweight squats

1 minute push ups

1 minute skipping

1 minute chinups

1 minute shuttle runs

1 minute scooping push ups (Hindu push ups)

1 minute sprawling

Have a five-minute rest and repeat another 2 rounds.

Metabolic circuit 2:

I minute chin ups

1 minute squat jumps

1 minute skipping

1 minute farmers walk (walking holding dumbbells)

Have a five-minute rest and repeat another 2 rounds.

Metabolic circuit day 3:

15 deadlifts

15 push ups

And then Repeat 14, 13, 12, etc., all the way down to 1 repetition.

Circuit 4: Tabata intervals

A Japanese sports scientist Izumi Tabata studied and came up with the Tabata interval training system.

It is pretty simple training session:

5 minutes warm up

20 seconds of a particular exercise at 100% effort (as hard as you can)

10 seconds rest

Repeat 8 times

2-5 minutes cool down

You may do Tabata intervals with:

Burpees, Sprints, Sumo Deadlift high pulls or Skipping (if you are a good skipper).

Running circuits

There are times when you cannot get to the gym or only have a skipping rope and a pair of shoes. If this is the case these next two workouts are fantastic.

Running circuit 1

Skipping 200 times

Sprint 200 meters

Repeat for 20 minutes

Running circuit 2

This workout is great if you have nothing but a pair of running shoes and nothing else.

Run 1500 meters (or if you don’t know how far you are running-run for 6 minutes)

5 mins Rest

Repeat for 2 more rounds

Run 1000 meters (4 mins 30)

Run 500 (2 minutes)

Repeat 2 more rounds

If you add these workouts as part if your cardiovascular training you will feel the benefits on the Judo mat

Glutathione Vs Glutamine

What is the difference between glutathione and glutamine?

Glutathione is an antioxidant, one of the human body’s most powerful antioxidant particles, while glutamine is an amino acid. However, Glutathione is also said to be an amino acid but a different kind, as it is a material resulting from several types of amino acids. This material is also beneficial to the body as an antioxidant as these help avoid cancer from occurring by preventing carcinogens and other cancer-causing substances from damaging important cellular components in a human body.

Both glutamine and glutathione are already naturally produced by the human body; however, both can also still be enhanced further by outside sources such as natural glutathione supplement and glutamine supplement.

These two substances may seem the same, but, their roles and effects on the body are quite different from each other.

Glutathione

The long name for this is glutamylcysteinylglycine and as mentioned above, it is an antioxidant and is also made from several kinds of amino acids, such as glutamate, cysteine and glycine. You might have also noticed that the long name of glutathione includes these three amino acids.

One of glutathione’s major roles is to control the kinds of bonds created between proteins and other substances in one’s body. Another one of its many roles is to help the human body absorb and make use of other amino acids.

There are many varieties of natural glutathione supplement nowadays, so, it is best that you are familiar with their benefits:

1. Anti-aging. This is one of the well-known benefits for these supplements. This antioxidant recycles both vitamins C and E which helps in protecting the body against the causes of aging.

2. Detoxifies the body. This antioxidant also benefits in being able to control immune cells and detoxify parts of the body, for example, the liver. Another way glutathione helps in cleansing the body is by getting rid of unwanted heavy metals such as mercury.

Glutamine

Glutamine may also be an amino acid just like Glutathione, but it is the richest one in the human body. Glutamine has an essential role and that is to eliminate ammonia, a waste product, from the body. Its other roles also include maintaining the normal function of one’s immune system, digestive system and brain.

There are numerous glutamine supplements these days and they are available in forms of medication or even raw foods. The medications, however, are sensitive to heat, so, it is advised that they be taken with water at a cold or room temperature.

The benefits of glutamine supplement include:

• Helps keep the brain healthy by providing various substances such as glutamic acid and gamma-aminobutyric acid which also help the brain to function well. This also aids in the mental health of a person to help them think properly and clearly, therefore, avoiding cases of mental illnesses.

• Like glutathione, it also promotes anti-aging by slowing down the causes and effects of aging.

• Other benefits of glutamine supplement are helping in maintaining the proper function of kidneys and also to boost one’s immune system to prevent them from sickness and infections.

• These vitamins can also help by healing wounds faster.

Dietary Tips for Sinusitis Sufferers

Regardless of whether you are suffering from acute sinusitis or chronic sinus infections, making some dietary changes can bring a considerable improvement in your condition. For sinusitis sufferers the dietary tips discussed further can be of great help. Plant-based diets are known to cure all types of ailments. In fact, many times infections and inflammations related to sinuses can get cured permanently with a plant-based diet. When it comes to good nutrition, raw foods are considered better than the cooked foods as they lack many essential nutrients. The body can prevent and heal health problems including sinus problems, provided it has the strength to fight the infections that has caused the problem.

After you start having a healthy and balanced diet, you might notice many good changes within your body. For instance, your lungs would be in a better shape, you might find that you are breathing better etc. Better breathing is significant because it heals the bronchial passages and cilia in the nose. Besides, it also helps to fight off foreign intruders that can lead to sinus problems such as sinus infections, inflammation, swelling etc. Usually, sinusitis sufferers do not give much attention to foods and beverages which can sometime worsen the sinus symptoms. However, the fact is that there are various foods that must be avoided to get well in the minimum possible time.

Keeping the sinuses hydrated is extremely important to avoid dried mucus increase, or else it may result in blockage in the sinuses. Dehydration can lead to sinus headaches causing severe pain. Thus to keep the sinuses moist and hydrated, you must drink plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses of water every day). Apart from drinking filtered water, do take lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables, especially the ones with high water content. Some of the fruits that can be greatly beneficial for the sinusitis sufferers are oranges, pomegranates, strawberries, gooseberries, lemon etc while veggies like broccoli, spinach etc are also quite effective.

However, along with a good diet, you must also know the things that must be avoided for quicker results. For example, chocolate, alcohol, dairy products, yeast, sugar and food additives are not good for someone suffering from sinus infections. Also, ice-creams and cold drinks must be avoided by the patients as they result in slowing down the cilia movement in the sinuses and therefore drainage of mucus becomes more difficult. Food allergies are also one of the main causes of sinus problems among most people. So, do not take foods that you are sensitive or allergic to. Knowing about what food items to eat or avoid would surely help you deal with this ordeal more easily. In fact, by using some simple kitchen ingredients, you can have many effective natural remedies. For instance, lemonade made by using lemon and lukewarm water is an excellent sinus home remedy.

Avoiding Stress Before Cheerleading Competitions

Cheerleading competitions are awesome and really stressful on everyone involved. Here are some ideas about how to keep your stress level down whether you are a competitor, coach, or parent.

First, be prepared. The best way to combat the stress of competition is to have a routine that everyone on the floor has mastered and feels confident completing. From stunts to tumbling passes, make sure that everyone’s timing is dead on perfect several run-throughs before you load the vans to head out to the competition. This means making sure that practices count, and everyone is present for every practice. No excuses. Even participants who might not feel the greatest can come in and watch and spot so that they are aware of any last minute changes.

Second, make sure your squad is prepared with what they need. Does the routine require props (signs, megaphones, poms, flags, etc.)? Make sure they are loaded in the transport the night before you have to leave.

Triple check everything!

Third, make sure competitors have everything they need for the uniforms they are wearing. Buy the jumbo-size slider bags (2.5 gallons). Have participants bring in what they need (Shoes, midriff, shells, skirts, socks, hairbows, spankies). Neatly pack each complete uniform in a slider bag. Label the bags with each participants name with a permanent marker. If available, pack extra uniform pieces in different sizes as well. Keep all of the uniforms together! Don’t give them to the participants until it is time to get ready!

Fourth, pack the make-up kits. Make sure that you have decided on a make-up color scheme and eye pattern before you get to the competition. Don’t experiment when you are at the venue! Have a dress rehearsal one night the week before competition. If your squad uses hair pieces, include them in the rehearsal and pack them up with the make-up kits. If not, make sure you plan accordingly for hair rollers or curling irons for the style that your squad is using and pack plenty of hairspray. Go full out with uniforms and make-up. Run the routine a few times through for parents and students. Some squads charge admittance as a fundraiser and invite the school and community. They may offer a spaghetti dinner or hot dog supper along with the entertainment. After the run-through, it’s the perfect time to pack the uniforms. Everyone is together, and it makes it so much easier.

Keep two accordion folders with copies of the registration information. Give one to an assistant coach or trustworthy parent. Make sure that schedules, payment confirmation, and any other pertinent information to the competition are kept in the accordion folder.

It is important to keep the parents feeling as little stress as possible as well. Their kids are performing in front of a lot of people. They have probably put a lot of time and money into cheerleading at this point. They want a good return and a happy kid when it’s all said and done. Make sure they have directions to the venue, a schedule for the events with their squad(s) times and stages highlighted if possible, a set meeting place for before the competition and after the competition, a schedule of the awards ceremony, and a list of possible places to stay and eat if it is an overnight competition. Many parents like to “book” together when it comes to travel arrangements. Make sure they know where the squad will be staying well in advance so that this is an option for them. Make sure that you keep the parents in the loop at all times about possible changes to schedules or venues. You can set up a phone tree, but don’t count on that always working. Use email, text alerts, and Facebook notifications to alert parents to what is going on with the event.

Preparation Checklist:

1. Routine has been successful at practice several times with no errors.

2. Each coach has a least two copies of the competition music.

3. All props are accounted for and packed.

4. There are two folders with all registration information.

5. All uniforms are packed and labeled and transferred together.

6. All make-up kits are packed.

7. All parents have several ways to contact them to keep them up to date with the schedules.

8. Room reservations (if necessary) are paid in advance and confirmation is in hand.

9. Departure time allows for delays, hair and make-up issues, and possibly a few run-throughs before the competition.

10. Participant waiver forms are in hand with insurance information. Many times these are sent in earlier with the registration. Keep a copy with you!

Some helpful hints for the multi-tasking coach:

1. Use Vaseline on teeth to keep lips from curling up and sticking. Funny, but it works!

2. Use hairspray sprayed on the upper thigh and buttocks to keep spankies from riding up during the routine.

3. Artist brushes work really well when applying eye make-up. The longer handles allow you to work without being right in the girl’s face.

4. Use hairpieces if the squad can afford it. They are so much easier than trying to do hair for every competition.

5. Make-up is always the same for the girls. Same colors and “designs” on the eyes or face.

6. Bring extra hair pins, extra hair ties, and extra safety pins!

7. Don’t get emotional in front of the squad before the competition. Don’t freak out when someone drops a stunt in the practice time. Don’t start crying or laughing hysterically (whichever may be your coping). Wait until they are off the competition floor. If someone makes a mistake, try not to dwell on it. They will fell bad enough when it happens.

8. If you can afford it or the parents would like to help, have a small gift for the kids when they are done. Even if it’s just a keychain or a stuffed animal to help them commemorate their achievement of competing, it will mean a lot to them.

The more you are prepared, the stress you are going to feel. The less stress you feel, the less stress the participants will feel!

5 Great Alkaline Vegetables To Add To Your Diet

Alkaline vegetables are an essential part of keeping the acid alkaline balance of our body. In fact, they are the most important part. When following the alkaline diet, vegetables are the most alkalizing food you will eat. Only alkaline drinks, such as lemon water, is what you will have more of.

This is because most other foods have sugar or starch in them, which reduces the alkalizing qualities of the food. For example fruit includes a lot of fruit sugar (fructose), which makes even alkaline fruit less beneficial than alkaline vegetables.

What is the Alkaline Diet?

Just a quick recap, following the alkaline diet means to keep your bodies’ PH level in an alkaline state on an ongoing basis. Generally, the PH Level is measured on a PH scale ranging from 0-14, with 7 being neutral, less than 7 acidic and more than 7 alkaline.

Our bodies function more efficiently when in an alkaline state: the metabolism is improved, our internal organs work effectively, we feel more energised and most people also lose weight until their body arrives at its “natural weight”, a healthy and comfortable weight level determined by the body itself.

How Do We Alkalize The Body?

The main factors that contribute to our bodies’ PH level are nutrition and general lifestyle. The more toxins we put into our body through food, drink, stress and a toxic environment, the more acidic our body will be. When we consciously reduce the toxins that enter our body and choose a more alkaline way of life, our body becomes more alkaline and therefore healthier.

5 Best Alkaline Vegetables

Here are five great alkaline vegetables that you should start adding to your diet:

  • Baby Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Green Asparagus
  • Celery
  • Rocket Leaves

Baby Spinach: Can be added in salads, on sandwiches or pasta salad, or even green smoothies if you’re keen. It is preferable to eat baby spinach raw rather than cooked as your body will be able to receive more of the nutrients.

Broccoli: Is great in stir-fries, as a soup or even steamed with lemon juice and olive oil.

Green Asparagus: Can be steamed, stir-fried or even barbecued. Taste delicious with a little bit of good olive oil and himalayan salt.

Celery: Can be added to salads, stir-fries, eaten raw or juiced. If juicing it tastes best in combination with other fruits or vegetables. Try carrot, celery and apple juice for example.

Rocket Leaves: Like Baby Spinach, rocket leaves can be eaten as salads, with a sandwich or a pasta, and even on top of pizza! Be careful when making green smoothies, as rocket leaves can taste quite bitter by themselves.

These are only 5 alkaline vegetables you can add to your diet. There are many more alkaline foods that will improve your health, are delicious and easy to add to your every day life!

Can HGH Help Heart Attack and Stroke Victims?

According to the American Heart Association, someone has a heart attack every 34 seconds in the United States. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 785,000 Americans have their first heart attack each year. There are nearly 500,00 others who have an attack subsequent to their first. A heart attack occurs because the blood flow that brings oxygen to the heart gets restricted or cut off. The cells of the heart muscle, without oxygen, begin to die.

Human growth hormone (HGH) has been shown to slow down or even prevent in some cases apoptosis, or programmed cell death, with recent clinical animal studies showing that human growth hormone can help protect heart and brain cells from dying after a stroke or heart attack.

In one study on rats which experienced heart attacks in the past, researchers gave one group injectable HGH, a second group IGF-1 (Insulin-like growth factor), and the third group a placebo. The groups that received human growth hormone or IGF-1 experienced less tissue and cell death than the group that was given the placebo. Another study found that IGF-1 treatment helped to revive brain cells after a brain injury.

The results of these studies could have dramatic positive implications for heart attack and stroke victims. Heart attacks and strokes are particularly devastating because heart and brain cells die and tissue death is seemingly irreversible. Heart tissue death means that heart function is compromised, and with brain cell death, the patient may never regain speech, full-body movement, or memory functions. If human growth hormone treatment can help prevent cell death, the tragic consequences of a heart attack or stroke can possibly be avoided.

The amount of HGH produced naturally in our bloodstream is not sufficient to help protect the heart and brain. When we are young, our pituitary gland produces optimal levels of human growth hormone and releases it into our bloodstream. However, beginning sometime in our twenties, our natural production of this hormone steadily declines, potentially leading a lifetime of hormone deficiency.

Human growth hormone treatment is available to help replenish hormone levels for patients with a prescription. However, this method can be painful and very expensive. Prescription human growth hormone therapy requires the patient to undergo nearly 50 injections per month at a cost upwards of $2,000. For many people, this option is inconvenient and cost prohibitive.

Many individuals have sought out natural formulas, offering a safe, effective, and affordable alternative to injectable human growth hormone. A select few of these homeopathic formulas contain a proprietary blend of natural ingredients that help strengthen and empower the body’s pituitary gland, the primary gland responsible for HGH production in the body. The link could be made that by strengthening the pituitary gland to function at stronger and more youthful levels, the gland would naturally produce greater levels of human growth hormone in the body.

Additionally, some of these formulas contain ingredients that have been clinically proven to provide an amazing spectrum of benefits that may mirror those often seen with traditional HGH treatment programs. This safe and effective natural alternative offers an affordable and convenient solution for those seeking these benefits.
